Designs select SloanLED from Applelec Supply as part of a unique shop frontage for the Japanese-influenced lifestyle brand, Miniso.
With over 4,700 shops worldwide, Miniso is one of the largest global retailers and has recently unveiled its fifth UK store. Creating a new flagship destination within Westgate Shopping Centre in Oxford, Miniso is the first in its region joining presences in London, Cardiff, Cambridge and Brighton. As part of the preparation works for the store opening, a key element was to deliver an impactful feature for the shop façade.
Comprising of a vast 28sqm, high level wall to the store entrance way, the impressive space was utilised for a bold and stylish retail display. Delivering this, Designs created 84 individual lightboxes with stencil cut motifs depicting a playful mixture of minimalist artwork icons. The designs reflect the Miniso brand and their dynamic product range, and were made at varying depths to achieve an interesting 3D effect.
Creating a central focus within the design scheme, the lightboxes were positioned around the Miniso main logos. Adding a pop of colour against the cool grey tones, the vivid red logos were created at 1m height, achieving a striking contrast and unmissable retail design.
Illuminating the stencil cut artworks, the icons were backlit with SloanLED’s BrightLINE LED system.
An extremely sleek LED solution, the backlighting product ensured minimal weight or thickness was added to the lightboxes. Featuring optically clear lenses, SloanLED BrightLINE delivered homogenous illumination, helping to accentuate the icons and create a unique retail scheme.
